Optional items to discuss with your Garage Specialist Include:

• Upgrading slab reinforcement to all rebar design
• 2x6 walls increase strength and allow for more insulation
• Adding a row or two of concrete blocks allows for greater headroom which will accommodate larger vehicles and prevents moisture contact between the floor and wall construction
• Adding tarpaper under the shingles give the roof another layer of protection
• Adding Typar house wrap protects OSB under siding and increases the effectiveness of insulation if garage is to be heated
• Ridge vent is almost a must if garage is to be heated to help eliminate any possibility of ice damns which could result in a leaking roof
• siding mounting blocks provide a better and cleaner looking mounting surface for any proposed electrical outlets and fixtures
• Anything else that you may want to ensure that your garage is perfect
